Crash course in French for the holidays

Bonjour à tous,

I felt a bit creative this week and I made you an infographic that gathers all the essential information you need when you don’t know any French but still want to be able to get around without any trouble. It will cover common phrases like ordering a meal or asking for directions. I even put a few curses! You never know, they could come up handy when faced with a rude person.

If you liked this infographic, please share it on Pinterest or Twitter if you have a friend who loves France!

Oh and by the way, stay tuned because the second part of French Essentials will be released soon. We will cover another pair of troublesome words that confuse even the advanced learners.

A très vite les gens !

Very nice info graph! I like the swear words haha
For ‘where am I?’ I would say ‘où suis-je?” or ‘où est-ce que je suis?’…’où je suis?’ isn’t very French.

Thanks for you comment I’m happy you like the infographic. As for the “where I am” part, I beg to differ. “Où je suis ?” is just as French as “Je suis où ?”, as “Où suis-je ?” or as “Où est-ce que je suis ?”. The only difference is the language register.
