Episode 30 – Do you know how to apologize like a native? Let me teach you!

Welcome to the thirtieth episode of the French Blabla podcast where we will cover tips to increase your fluency while boosting your way of learning. I thought it would be interesting to continue on the topic of formal phrases or words to say when interacting with French people. This episode is kind of a follow-up of episode 28, where we covered how to wish but this time we will learn how to apologize. It will be a good opportunity also to explain how to translate “I’m confused” in French. Stay tuned!

In this Episode

  • Every way to apologize
  • Stop the confusion of “I’m confused”
  • A challenge for you to shine

I’m really looking forward to your answers to my little challenge. After a few contributions, I will post the answer to the quizz. Do you have any other phrases that you struggle to use in French? Is there something that you can’t seem to master no matter how hard you try? Don’t hesitate to share with me in the comment section.

Coucou Tony, I think you will need to listen to the episode again. Your first one is ok, it’s not what I had in mind but you can say it. Looking forward to your next guesses 😀

Salut Caroline, I have just started listening to your podcasts and I am already enjoying them. I have been following quite a few podcasts and there is something different about each of them. I like yours for the fact that they are teaching me how a native french might speak and that they are not too long either. I know you posted this one more than a month ago but I did the exercise in all honesty without looking at others and thought I should send in my responses. Hope it is okay! Merci!

    1. Pardon
    2. Excusez-moi
    3. Je suis désoléé
    4. Je te prie m’excuser

Coucou Déesse Vénus (hahaha c’est mignon comme pseudo). Bienvenue sur French Blabla. Thanks so much for listening and enjoying the podcast. It’s more than ok to comment and participate on every episode that I make, even the ones from 3 years ago. I encourage people to share and be active in this community. I will be there to help and correct.
About your answers to the exercise, they are all good! Bon travail, je pense que tu as bien compris les différences. Au plaisir de te revoir !
